Tuesday 5th
August 7.45pm Kick off at Riada Stadium
Ballymoney United 4 - 1 Larne
Ballymoney made it two wins on the bounce last night with a fully deserved 4-1 win over Larne who were second best in all departments.
The visitors found themselves a goal down after only six minutes.
Slack defending allowed Nicholl to race unchallenged and head home McKinney's free-kick.
Larne finished the first-half strongly with Fulton testing Wilson before Faulkner seeing his close range shot scrambled clear.
United started the second-half looking lively and with 68 minutes gone the home side extended their lead. Nicholl's cross from the left fell to O'Kane who bundled it home from six yards.
Within a minute Larne were back in contention. With his first touch Cardwell unleashed a cracking volley from 20 yards which flew into the top corner.
The visitors then almost equalised when a Reid corner flew across the face of the home goal needing only a touch to find the net.
With 11 minutes remaining Ballymoney sealed the points. Hadden made the most of a McLoughlin mistake to pick out McKinney who headed powerfully past Keenan.
United then added their fourth when they broke quickly from a Larne corner kick and McClelland raced from his own half to seal the victory.
