26/01/2008 Ballymoney United 2 v PSNI 1
Ballymoney United battled back from a goal down to claim alll three points at a windswept Riada Stadium.
PSNI took an early lead when Jordan broke the offside trap and took the ball round Smyth before finishing from a tight angle.
Playing against the wind Ballymoney continued to scrap for everything and were rewarded just before the break when a three man move starting with Smyth's goal kick found Gavin Gilmore and his low cross eveaded the PSNI defence and was hammered home by Mark Surgenor.
Midway through the second half Ballymoney took the lead. A neat move was almost finished off by Denver Gage but his shot was pushed behind by the keeper, from the resulting corner Gareth Hill was able to head powerfully into the roof of the net.
Adam McKinney almost made it three soon after but he clipped the ball just over the bar with the keeper advancing. United were almost made to pay when Gavin Burnside somehow managed to get sent off to the bewilderment of everybody in the ground, but United were able to weather the storm for the final ten minutes.

30/12/2007 Ballymoney United 1 v Queen's University 1
Ballymoney lost ground on the leaders when they were held at home by stubborn Queens team in a game played in blustery and showery conditions at the Riada Stadium.
Ballymoney dominated possession as Queens camped on the edge of the box and rode their luck on a number of occasions but the first real attempt fell to Gavin Burnside who turned well inside the box, but his goal bound effort was cleared.
The visitors had a good opportunity to score when Donnely turned inside Gage but his shot went well over the bar. The second half started brightly for United who came close to opening the scoring when Gillan's strong run and cross just eluded the on rushing Surgenor. Gavin Burnside then missed a glorious chance when McLaughlin found him unmarked in the box, but the striker failed to test the keeper with a poor header.
United rued the miss when the students went ahead when Gilgunn their sub broke clear and finished well from the edge of the box with a superb left foot shot. They should have been two up shortly after but Donnelly shot wide with only Smyth to beat.
Ballymoney kept piling on the pressure and finally got the equaliser they deserved when David Gage rose above the defence to score with a header with two minutes left on the clock to give the United a point.
